The Hârșova Town Hall organized the second edition of the “Dobrogea with Bundiță and Prestelcă” Festival

The Hârșova Town Hall organized, between September 20 – 22, 2024, the second edition of the “Dobrogea with Bundiță and Prestelcă” Festival, an event dedicated to promoting the authentic traditions of the cross-border region of Dobrogea. The festival brought together lovers of local culture, artists, craftsmen, and enthusiasts of traditional gastronomy, offering a unique experience to all participants.

The event attracted an average of approximately 3,000 visitors per day.

During the festival, visitors had the opportunity to discover traditions and customs related to life’s major events, seasonal cycles, and celebrations. Some of the most appreciated moments included performances by young artists and interactive culinary demonstrations, where local chefs presented traditional dishes specific to the region.

Numerous activities took place at the Hârșova Cultural House, recently renovated as part of the project, attracting a diverse audience, from young people and families to seniors.

The festival had not only a cultural impact but also a significant economic one. The influx of visitors created opportunities for local businesses, especially for restaurants and accommodation units, which benefited from the presence of tourists who came specifically for this event. Additionally, local craftsmen and entrepreneurs had the chance to showcase their products and services at organized fairs, attracting both local buyers and visitors from other regions.

The positive feedback from participants confirms the success of this festival and its contribution to improving the quality of life in the region. Continuous access to culture, intergenerational events, and the promotion of Dobrogean traditions are essential elements for social cohesion and the strengthening of local identity.

The event was organized as part of the sustainability phase of the “Hârșova-Dobrichka, Together on the Beautiful Path of Sustainable Development through Cross-Border Culture” Project – ROBG 456.
